The begining of the 7th month

Tyler was able to sit upright on his own 2 Sundays ago, which was around 17th May 2010. Hubby and I were so suprised to find him sitting upright, unsupported on his own playing quietly with his toys.

He still don't like to be spoon-fed, however I'd try to feed him whatever food I'm taking in very very little amount, just to taste, and not enough to be considered a meal! I still have to blend his porridge every morning to be bottle-fed. This time, he's more adventurous in food tasting, so far, he loves eating fish.

Oh yes, yesterday 23rd May 2010, he suprised us again by standing up when he has something to hold on to. He even tried to climb out from his play pen, luckily I was fast enough to stop him. As a result, this is what happen...

He'll be in jail term from now onwards, and he's not liking it very much, well, better to be safe than sorryyy :P

Project

He likes to wonder around especially when he's on his walker. He has the freedom to go where ever he wants, just as long as there is adult supervision. He was caught on camera trying to pluck the flowers before, and now... trying to open grandad's safe.

When he's too frustrated over several tries, he'll just cry out loud!

Increased Mobility at 6 months

At 6 months Tyler could walk pretty fast on his walker, hence knocking at almost anything and appearantly he enjoys knocking at everything, be it chair, table or walls. hmmmm there goes mummy and daddy doing all they can to baby proof the whole place that he's in. With that mischevious smile of his, you know he's up to something not good in his head since everything is so new to him.

Here, trying to reach for the flowers, he will try to pluck it and put in his mouth, some may say, he's reaching for the green box :P since Heineken is nothing new to him, as both his grandads' regular/favourite drink at dinners.

Tyler visiting his only baby friend and he'll just smile and sometimes talk to Baby Mamy Poko :)

He's also learning to sit by himself now, most of the time he can sit halfway through on his own, except when we put him on a sitting position, he can last for a few minutes till something else got his attention.

This baby of mine, refuses to sleep most of the time, at most 1 hour, or just some kitty naps for about 15 minutes to half an hour. So during my office hour, I'll need to keep an eye on him all the time. He's so clingy lately perhaps he's teething now, crying while touching his gums, poor baby...

With just a blink of an eye, 6 months have passed, sometimes I wonder how did time passed by so quickly? It scares me to think about "time", like Tyler may need me now, maybe with another blink of an eye, he's all grown up and I'm no longer needed. Perhaps all mothers will go through all these phases of life. Therefore, to all mothers out there, cherish all moments with your children.
I was asked plenty of times, how is it like being a mother? My reply will always be the same, it's the best gift I've ever received. No doubt there will be lots of work, since nothing is easy, but it will be manageable. Some of my friends who are planning for a child are worried about who will take care of their kids, are they be fit to be parents, will they manage? I believe these worries are normal and I, too have gone through that. However, at that time when I was having all those questions in my head, I can't find any answers to my question as well, because I will only know how it goes when Tyler arrives and somehow, we'll adapt to the situation magically. Straight away when mother instinct kicks in, although everything may not go as planned, but it will go on smoothly.

Crawl attempt

Tyler is now officially 25 weeks old, this week attempt was to start crawling, yeayyy. So proud of his development, many older generation people would be suprise at this development rate. Well, I don't know... perhaps the technology these days are more advance in terms of food processing e.g more nutrition in formula milk?? I seriously don't know, I'm just guessing. He could walk very far in his walker already, at first I was quite worried that he would skipped crawling if I were to introduce a walker too soon...

This is very first few attempts caught in camera. Though he's trying, it's just one step forward only.

Tyler with his whole body up, supported by his arms and legs.

Getting tired after one try, well, it's a good practice for him at least to stretch his muscle!

I think he is proud of his own achievement as well, thus the happy face. "I did it, mummy!!"

Tyler at 5 months

I've not been writing for the past 3 weeks coz Tyler has been sick when he turned 5 months on the 21st March 2010. He came down with Flu and cough =( When Tyler turned 5 months old, hubby turned 28 as well. Unfortunately, we couldnt really celebrate hubby's b-day coz we were at home taking care of Tyler.

Since hubby is not a cake person, I made him Konnyaku with canned Lychee. He doesnt take cake, only a few, namely, simple butter cake with no cream at all, chiffon cake, swiss roll and that's about all. So, making him Konnyaku is much easier and he likes eating it at least :p

This pic was taken when he was still sick and I've been at home with him for 5 days. He's a good baby even when he's sick. He didn't trouble me at all, but it's so sad to see him suffer when he had blocked nose, plus he cough with phelgm, and he's so small and didnt know how to dispose the mucus. He lost his appetite as well and his weight dropped 200 gm in 2 days.

He's still able to play and pose with me for good pics. That's my boy!

His first try on his rocking chair, but didnt like sitting in it after 2 days =(

Luckily, he put on his normal weight when he recovers. He's now learning to crawl, and he can push himself up with his hands and push his butt up with his legs for a few seconds. However, it scares me to see how he pushes himself up, look at the picture above, one of his hands are bend the other way around, so everytime I had to correct that posture in case he injures himself one day, which I really hope not.

He likes to put every single thing he grabs in his mouth, including his walker. Usually the buttons are to be pushed so that music will be played, but Tyler uses his tongue to push the button. hmmmm messy isnt? boys will be boys, I guess.

Couldnt resist taking this picture when he just woke up in the morning, playing with his toys.

This is his new toy, now he likes keysss

Oh yea, sometimes, nowadays, Tyler does help around when I clean him, heheheh, he helped me carry his legs while I do the cleanning.

Being at 28...

Tyler can now touch his toes for the first time, but he doesn't do it that often yet, I do read it in the books or magazines that this process is part of the baby's development. So, I'd have a pic of this process.

I'm now officially 28 years old, and I'm very thankful and grateful for all the blessings from above as well as having wonderful family and friends to go through with me for these past 28 years. The most precious gift I've received is, my son Tyler. Apart from that, I received lotsa smses from frens and pressies from my bro, Jason, my mummy, my cuz Sonia, my granny and my hubby :) but i received all these presents way before yesterday, so I felt a little empty yesterday. hahahhha I'll tell everyone dat I'll get my pressie on the actual day from next year onwards =) Maybe I didn't enjoy as much becoz I'm older and my priority is my son now, so bday don't seem much important anymore. I was suprised to open my FB and saw lotsa wishes, and I'm very blessed to have friends to remember my bday =)

I've transferred Tyler into another bigger play pan in my office, the small one is too small for him and his toys, usually I'd need to take all his toys out when he naps, so now he can sleep with his toys, surrounded by toys at every corner.

This is my precious and perfect gift...

He's playing happily in his play pan...

This is his newest toy, his first walker, he can't use it as a walker yet, coz his feet did not touch the ground, plus I'm worried that his legs don't have the strength to be on the floor yet. He enjoys it very much coz there's different music at eevry button he pushes (opps, more like smashes...)

Even my red camera doesnt seem to attarct his attention anymore that's why he didn't smile...

He's enjoying his new gadget!
