Tyler's Daily activities

Since Tyler started walking, he has been very active, always wanna go for walks at the park in our condo, therefore to combat his new found walking interest, daddy decided to get him some "mind toys" to distract him from going down for walks frequently. Daddy wanted to get him Duplo from Lego, however, it was more expensive so I decided to get him Mega Blocks... but he's more interested in taking all pieces out from the box and putting it back, rather than fixing something that comes from his mind.

In my office, he would play with anything that comes in his way, be it envelopes, dvd covers, his shoes, my keys n etc... This picture was taken while he was trying to "cook" his clean diapers. He took lots of diapers out from the pack and stuff into the pot! Then he would stir the pot and taste the diaper! Hahahahah

This pic below, trying to stuff more diapers into the pot! Not that he's lack of toys, his toys are a basket full in the lime green basket! Yet, he prefers to play with "non-toys" material things.

This is it when he's bored playing with them and waiting for mummy to clean it up. That's what I usually do after he goes for nap, picking up pieces of things lying on the floor :{

When he refuses to sleep in the afternoon, this is what happen in the car on our way home from work.

Tyler's watching tv while eating a slice of apple. He likes only apples and bananas at the moment, and the apple would have to be fresh and crisp when he's bitting, if not he'll just hold it forever till it turns brown for me to throw away.

He loves playing at the sink! Climbing up and down to the sink and come down again and up again and this goes on and on...

This is his little update for the last week of being 16 months.

Hair Cutting Challenge

We were told that a saloon in Spring have the facilities to make children adapt to the environment during a hair cut. There was this toy car which Tyler loves riding on, and also cartoon being played on the t.v For most kids, they would be amazed by the facilities and forget all about strangers trying to cut their hair. So, I was thinking of giving it a try since he has never liked getting hair cut.

At first he was fine, playing with the toy car and watching cartoon, as soon as the lady cut a towel on his shoulder, he began to panic and started crying. So, getting his hair cut was impossible at that moment.

Then we went home, and Tyler took a nap, a long one indeed, I wanted to wake him up at 4.00 pm because I want him to sleep earlier during the night. However, no matter how I try to wake him, he refused to wake up. Since he doesn't wanna wake up, I decided to cut his hair :)

This is the outcome of my hair cut on Tyler :) I'd say this was better compared to the first cut I had on him, when he was about 8 months.

Chinese New Year 2011

This CNY is Tyler's second CNY celebration and clearly, he enjoyed himself very much! This picture was taken before the reunion dinner and we managed to get the outfit during our last visit in Hong Kong. He looked like a little emperor, don't you think so? =)

On the first day of CNY, our first visit was to my in laws place. In addition to this CNY, Tyler started walking 2 weeks ago when he turned 15 months. It was a challenge to tail him around the house, worrying that he will knock things down. All morning, he would just guard the table full of CNY goodies. He loves the roasted anchovies, although it's a little spicy, he could eat non stop!

Our second stop was to my parents house, as usual busy guarding the table with goodies :) He was a good boy throughout all our CNY visiting, he was just curious of his surrounding and trying to explore all corners of the houses, that's why it's a challenge to follow him to all directions he wants to go. Since he started walking, he doesn't like to be carried any longer!

I got my early Vday and Bday gift =)

It's a 4 pcs Solitaire Diamond pendent. Love it! and loving my generous hubby too :P

For the first time, Tyler slept on his stroller while shopping in Spring today.
