Tyler's first day at play school

Tyler officially started his play school on the 25th August 2012. Hubby and I went with him the first day and it was a success, he enjoyed himself very much. His play-school is called Pleasant Camp for children 3 yrs and below, and Tadika Jubli for children 4-6 years.

We actually found this school when we were driving around Batu Lintang looking at houses hoping to get some ideas for our new house. Then we saw this beautiful gated 2 detached house and it's a play school. We went to have a look and it seemed pretty good. Not many student at the moment, which is good cause I'm worried about HFMD which has not subsided since June 2012.

That's Tyler's new friend, Annabelle and they're always together during meal times and she's such a cutie. She's 3 yrs old and much taller than my baby.

Suprisingly, the school was serving porridge that day and Tyler tried feeding himself like the rest of his friends. Which is a good improvement! He never liked porridge since he's a baby. Though he din't finish, but it was a good try.

I guess the most popular new comer award goes to hubby! all the kids love him and he seems to be enjoying more than his son in school.

Mr. Popular with his fans :)

Tyler's older friend, Ethan from the kindy.

Tyler loves lining up like that, that's when they are queueing up to go out to the playground.

My little boy is finally growing up. So the the day, Marissa went to school with him and he enjoyed himself so much and also the next day. However, the fourth day onwards, he was quite reluctant to go to school. I had to baked some muffins for him to celebrate "Dumbo's" birthday with his friends to break the ice. Only after that he seemed a little better. As of today, it's his 10th class, he didn't cry this morning when we dropped him coz I told him if he cries he cannot go to Legoland with us. And he listened :) So proud of my boy. Marisa is still with him in school, the teachers feel that Tyler is better with Marissa around. I hope he can soon be independent without Marissa.

Potty Train

Tyler started potty training by himself yesterday. We actually bought him potties (one in the office and one at home) since he was a year and a half and never actually trained him, just tell him to sit on it if he wanna pee. But he used it as a toy, playing with it and putting toys in them. So yesterday, I just took off his diapers and his pants as well, being half naked, I put him down on his potty and he did very well by peeing in it. As happy and as proud as I am, I cheered on his potty pee and he seemed so motivated by it. So for the next hour or so, I left him half naked and he did pee in the potty twice yesterday.

Then today, as soon as he woke up, I told him to pee in the potty, he didn't fight much but just being very blur in the morning and he peed so much in the potty and his diaper was quite dry for the night. So, in the office, I took off his diaper when we reached office and he did play around his potty, playing his Ipad or watching tv while sitting on his potty. So I was working on the computer and suddenly he shouted "NG NG in POTTY" looking very shocked and I cheered and applauded on his shit =) hahahhhaha you have no idea what a proud mummy I am... After seeing my action, Tyler seemed pretty delighted with himself and insisted on showing the poo to his grandma.

Oh yea, exactly a week ago, Tyler refused drinking milk all together =( I was so heart broken to see him refuse milk, meaning refusing all the good nutrients milk has got to offer. As a mom, I am so worried if he has enough daily nutrition, plus he is a very picky eater. He doesn't take vegetables and fruits, he doesn't like yogurt and he loves junk food. I've been feeding him rice even for breakfast! and at the moment he likes my "chocolate coated cornflakes" cookies, I'm giving him as snacks, at least he gets some calories from there.

It's a week to CNY, and I don't seem to be in the festive mood yet. Will write again soon :)
